Sir Killalot

Recurring FAQ: Hey? Where’s all the detail on your work? Seems a touch high level no?
Answer: There’s a reason for that: my career has been underpinned by every creative’s favorite golden handcuffs: NDAs. There are extreme limitations on what I can share, but that doesn’t mean I can’t talk more detail 1:1, just reach out.

PROJECT OUTCOME

Newly designed house robot influenced by modern trends in robotics, gaming, warfare technology, and modern sci fi. Hints and homage to original design and era specific sci fi integrated throughout. Newly designed robot became darling of show, with significant media attention at the time of unveiling

METHOD

Multi source design process drawing from multiple mediums, industries, and periods. Amalgamation of aesthetic produced through feedback from showrunners, producers, fans of original show, and personal desires for the look of Sir killalot

PROCESS

Rapid transition to 3D from concept sketching and mood boards. Extremely tight deadline to get robot ready for test filming, so a transition to experimentation in 3D at an early stage was necessary. Mixture of 3d clay modelling and hard modeling in conjunction with 3D printed prototyping for accuracy and high fidelity presentations used to move project along as rapidly as possible
