Want to get a better understanding of how and where my skills lie? I’m not going to do it with a personal statement, because why would I?

this handy radar chart is a heat map of all the major projects published here. it shows a spread of my time on each project and my involvement in them. the darkest areas of the chart relate to where my time is spent the most, because it’s where my skills really came through as valuable for the project at hand.

concepts, design, leadership, and technology is where I have found myself being pulled into the most, as it is where my greatest strengths lie, but any project, design or otherwise, requires more than just that, these eight factors define my core competencies.

CONCEPT: ideation stage, blue sky thinking, defining novelties, guiding lights, and where to move a project to

CAD: computer aided design. making ideas manufacturable

MANUFACTURING: time spent on actual production, or design for manufacturing

TECHNOLOGY: applications and research based, the use of emerging and bleeding edge tech

DESIGN: pretty self explanatory, but this covers more than the obvious. design of product, strategy, sales, messaging and positioning

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: someone needs to keep everything on track, it usually helps to have the designer architect the project

PROTOTYPING: need to test ideas before you commit to production, having a seasoned and expert prototyper on hand tends to help

LEADERSHIP: not to be confused with project management, leadership is all about keeping the team motivated, morale high, and guiding the group.
